Next week is the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill. To celebrate more of the King’s life, we bring in author Chris Rodell, who lived in Latrobe and is about to launch his new book “Arnold Palmer: Homespun Stories of The King”.

Pam Wood & I tee it up with Chris this Saturday at 11 AM CT on FB Live.

Chris is a Latrobe, Pennsylvania author of “Use All The Crayons! The Colorful Guide to Simple Human Happiness,” the only self-improvement book graced with a cover endorsement by legendary golfer/pitchman Arnold Palmer.

His book, “Arnold Palmer: Homespun Stories of The King,” about his oddball friendship with Arnold Palmer is being published by Triumph Books in May. In Rodell’s career as a freelance writer, he has wrestled alligators, gone skydiving, gained twenty pounds in one week eating like Elvis, and lain on a bed of nails to demonstrate the power of the mind over pain.

He has written for Esquire, Sports Illustrated, Men’s Health and Playboy. His debut novel, “The Last Baby Boomer: The Story of the Ultimate Ghoul Pool,” was released in 2017. He will write for anyone who’ll pay him. He is a PROSEtitute.

An avid horsewoman, hiker, gardener, philanthropist, and hostess, Blakesley “retired” from a successful career in marketing when she married vintner Cyril Chappellet and moved to Napa Valley. Passionate about supporting the community, she serves as a board member for several nonprofit organizations, lending her professional skills and helping to raise millions for local charities.

She lives on Pritchard Hill with her husband, two Labradors, and three quarter horses. The desire to share the inspirations and life lessons she gets from her vintner peers spurred the idea for Napa Valley Entertaining.

The Golf, Grape & Grub Show continues our interest and coverage of Women of Wine with Linda Neal, President of Obsession Wine Company.  Linda literally grew up in the vineyards of Oakville pruning and managing the growth of grape vines. She managed a vineyard company for over 20 years.

Linda still makes a wonderful small production cult wine from the highly acclaimed Oakville AVA in Napa called Tierra Roja.  Additionally, she founded a laid back and fun winery in the Sierra Foothills between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe called Mellowood.  Zestee zins and syrahs are the focus up there.

Pam Wood & I tee it up this Saturday on FB Live @ 11 AM(CT).  Of course, we’ll give some guy named Tiger a thought or two as he returns to the PGA Tour.  What’s the over/under on him making the cut?  The LPGA is kicking off their season this week in the Bahamas.

Our Golf, Grape & Grub Show is all about pursuing the “G” passions. We’ve discovered some Gals who luv grape juice and most other FUN things that empower women. They run a bimonthly magazine called Bliss Babes, www.blissbabes.com.

Their media biz is run out of Reno & the Lake Tahoe area. Plus, they’ve also discovered a good friend of our show, Mike Owen the El Jeffe & Bliss Dude of CBC.  Crystal Basin Cellars, crystalbasin.com is located in the Sierra Nevada foothills between Sacramento & South Lake Tahoe. One of the events among many is the skinny dip party, that’s where you drink wine in a kiddy pool. 🙂

Debbie McCarthy & her Bliss Babe gals will join Mike and I from his winery TOMORROW @ Noon (PT) on FB Live.

We’ll also update you on the upcoming American Century Celebrity Championship which will be next week at Edgewood Tahoe GC. Many great athletes and other celebrities compete in a modified Stableford format. Justin Timberlake & Steph Curry will draw the biggest crowds.
